Questions people ask

  • Are the checklists and templates free?

Yes. They are free, there is no form, and you can print, copy and change them. The templates come as an Excel file and as a table you can copy from the page.

  • Do the checklists give legal advice?

No. They set out the order of the work and what to check. Where a step depends on a country's rules, the checklist sends you to the country guide or tells you to take advice, and it does not state the rule.

  • Which one should I start with?

Start with the one that matches your next task. If you are about to make an offer abroad, use the international new-hire checklist. If you are not sure whether someone is an employee or a contractor, use the employee vs contractor checklist.
