What should be on a payroll compliance checklist?
The first group is for set-up, once per country. The next four are for every pay cycle. The last group lists what payroll does not cover, so you know where to look next. Where a figure or deadline matters, the line asks you to take it from the country's own authority, not from last year's file.

What payroll compliance does not cover
Correct payroll covers tax and social contributions. It does not settle the questions below, so check them elsewhere.
That is the whole checklist.
Why is payroll compliance more than paying people correctly?
Payroll compliance means that each person is paid the right amount on time, and that the tax and contributions taken from their pay reach the right authority by the right date. An error can be small in each pay run and still add up.
Each country sets its own rates, deadlines and forms, and they change. That is why the checklist tells you to read figures from the country's authority and to date them, rather than trusting a number from last year.
How does Teamed run payroll for companies with their own entities?
Teamed's Global Payroll runs compliant, multi-country payroll for companies that keep their own entities, on the same platform as Teamed's EOR and entity management.
Questions people ask
What is payroll compliance?
It means paying each person the right amount on time, taking the right tax and contributions from the pay, and sending them to the authority by its deadline. It also means keeping records that show you did.
How often should I run this checklist?
Run the set-up group once for each country and again when something changes. Run the cycle groups each pay cycle. Run the year-end group once a year, at the start of the tax year.
Does correct payroll mean I am compliant with employment law?
No. Payroll covers pay, tax and contributions. Contracts, worker classification, working time, leave and termination sit outside it. The last group of this checklist lists what to check elsewhere.
This checklist is a planning aid, not legal advice. Where a step depends on a country's rules, check the country guide or take advice.
