# White-label EOR

> White-label EOR is an employer of record service sold by a platform under its own brand, with the EOR provider as the legal employer running contracts, payroll and compliance underneath.

White-label EOR is an employer of record service sold by a platform under its own brand, with the EOR provider as the legal employer running contracts, payroll and compliance underneath. The phrase carries two meanings in the market, and providers use it loosely. In the first, the provider's own portal is restyled with the partner's logo and the customer logs in to it. In the second, the service is built into the partner's own product through an API, so the customer never leaves it; some providers call this embedded EOR. Under both, the employment contract names the legal employer, whatever brand the customer saw when they hired. Teamed runs the full employer of record service behind a partner's own platform, through an API, with Teamed as the legal employer.

## How is white-label EOR different from a logo on a provider's portal?

In a true white label the service lives in the platform's own product: its own screens, its own workflows, its own client journey, with the provider running employment underneath through an API. A logo on a provider's portal means the customer leaves the platform to use the provider's product, restyled, with a separate login and a support path that is not the platform's.

Ask a provider which of the two it means before [comparing providers](/compare/best-white-label-eor-providers).

## Who is the legal employer in a white-label EOR arrangement?

Teamed, through its local employing entity. The employment contract names Teamed's entity, whatever brand the customer saw when they hired. The platform owns the whole client journey and look and feel.

This is why no provider can honestly promise that a platform's customer will never see its name. The employment contract names the legal employer.

## How do platforms pay for white-label EOR?

Under one of three shapes: revenue share, a per-employee rate the platform marks up, or referral fees. On the pages read, Remote and Deel publish no rate. Teamed's is revenue share.

## Key facts

- **The phrase means two things:** The provider's portal restyled with your logo, or the service built into your own product through an API (some providers call the second embedded EOR). (Source: remote.com/embedded; developer.deel.com, Embedded EOR overview, verified 2026-10-15)
Remote describes its embedded offer as letting partners "deliver global employment services fully under their own brand"; Deel's developer site documents the API a partner's product builds on. Ask which one a provider means.

## Three ways a platform can offer EOR

| | Logo on the provider's portal | Built into your product (white-label or embedded) | Co-branded, "powered by" |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Where the customer logs in | The provider's portal, restyled | Your product | Your product or the provider's, with both names shown |
| Whose screens | The provider's | Yours, built on the provider's API | Yours or the provider's, carrying both brands |
| Who the customer thinks they are buying from | You, until they log in | You | You, with the provider named beside you |
| Who is the legal employer | The provider | The provider | The provider |

## Frequently asked questions

### Is white-label EOR the same as embedded EOR?

The same arrangement under two names. Deel and Remote call it embedded EOR; buyers who search for it, and Teamed, say white-label EOR. Both cover the service built into a platform's own product through an API, and some providers also use white label for a restyled portal, so ask which build a provider means.

### Do we need our own entities to offer white-label EOR?

No. Teamed is the legal employer, through its local employing entity, and runs the localised employment contracts, payroll and ongoing employment compliance.

### Will our customers see the provider's name?

Yes, on the employment contract. Your brand can be on every screen the customer uses; the contract still names Teamed's entity, which is why no provider can honestly promise that your customers will never see its name.

### Which EOR providers offer white-label EOR?

Several, under either name. The comparison of white-label EOR providers on teamed.global scores the ones whose own pages describe the offer, on one rubric, with every fact quoted from the provider's own page and dated.
